2012-01-13 22:59:00 |

Opting instead for youthful talents Daniel Ricciardo and Jean-Eric Vergne is a daring move, but they say fortune favours the brave and Ricciardo is determined...

Qualifying - Vettel beats Hamilton to Spa pole |
2011-08-27 22:23:00 |
| A dramatic Q3 qualifying session saw Sebastian Vettel snatch pole position from Lewis Hamilton in the dying moments, as the Red Bull driver improved Hamilton's pacesetting time for McLaren of 1m 48.730s to 1m 48.298s. Mark Webber made it a strong day for the Milton Keynes team with 1m 49.376s for third place.
Felipe Massa sprung a surprise by qualifying his Ferrari fourth on 1m 50.256s, but team mate Fernando Alonso could only manage eighth on 1m 51.251s. That left the Spaniard behind fifth fastest Nico Rosberg on 1m 50.552s, splendidly on-form Jaime Alguersuari who took his best-ever qualifying slot of sixth in the Toro Rosso on 1m 50.773s, and surprise of the meeting Bruno Senna who put his Renault seventh with 1m 51.121s.

Final practice - Webber fastest at sodden Spa |
2011-08-27 19:46:00 |
| For a while it seemed that nobody would venture out to set a lap time at Spa this morning, as Lewis Hamilton described conditions as massively wet, and Jenson Button said they were worse than Canada. But eventually things improved enough to make the effort worthwhile, with the caveat that everyone wanted to preserve rubber.
In the end it was Red Bull's Mark Webber at the top of the times again with 2m 08.988s, from late improver Lewis Hamilton, 0.058s behind on 2m 09.046s for McLaren. Then came Toro Rosso's Jaime Alguersuari who spent most of his track time battling intensely with stable mate Sebastien Buemi

Franz Tost Q&A: Drivers key to Toro Rosso success |
2011-08-15 20:07:00 |
| The recent Hungaroring weekend witnessed some memorable statistics: Jenson Button won on his 200th F1 start and Nico Rosberg made his 100th Grand Prix appearance. Less well publicised was the fact that Scuderia Toro Rosso also hit the tonne.
Team principal Franz Tost paints a very positive picture of those 100 races, even though Toro Rosso's purpose has shifted significantly over the last two years. From being an incubator for future Red Bull Racing drivers, they have transformed into a full-blown constructor, albeit still with a strong focus on breeding. The breeding has been good, as the Budapest result showed, with both Sebastien Buemi and Jaime Alguersuari in the points

Petrov hopeful of race return in Canada |
2011-05-31 18:13:00 |
| His Monaco race may have ended in the barriers on Sunday, but Renault's Vitaly Petrov is confident he will be well enough to compete at the forthcoming Canadian event. Petrov was caught up in a collision between McLaren's Lewis Hamilton and Toro Rosso's Jaime Alguersuari during the race's closing stages.
I'm fine, said the Russian in a video on the team's official website. I have some pain in my legs but I should be fine for Canada. I couldn't get out of the car at first as my legs were blocked and I also couldn't feel them. So I thought I have a problem, maybe my legs are broken or something. So I just sat in the car and waited for the people to help me get out of the car.
