Bianchi crash halts Force India test programme |

| Force India have been forced to abandon their Thursday testing at Jerez after newly-signed reserve driver Jules Bianchi crashed early in the morning session. Although damage to the car was not severe, a lack of spare parts means the VJM05 will not back on track until Friday.
Following his impressive debut with the team on Wednesday, Bianchi had completed just two timed laps

Alonso and Massa head to training camp ahead of Ferrari launch |

| While Ferrari's engineers put the finishing touches to the Italian team's 2012 car ahead of its launch and test debut next month, drivers Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa will be intensifying their own preparations at a pre-season training camp in the Canary Islands.
Alonso and Massa spent Tuesday at the Italian's team base in Maranello having seat fitting in the new Ferrari and meeting team principal Stefano Domenicali and other engineers to discuss the car's development. They will now jet off to the island of Lanzarote for a spot of physical training, alongside Ferrari young drivers Jules Bianchi and Davide Rigon.

Ferrari drivers hard at work at training camp |

| Over the last few days, Ferrari's driver line-up have been sweating away at a special fitness camp in the Canary Islands. Fernando Alonso, Felipe Massa and Ferrari young drivers Jules Bianchi and Davide Rigon were all in attendance at the camp, which was held on the island of Lanzarote.
As well as working out at the gym, the four drivers tackled a variety of activities including mountain biking, football, tennis and canoeing.

Yas Marina day three - Vergne makes it a hat trick |

| Jean-Eric Vergne completed a clean sweep at Yas Marina on Thursday as he again topped the times for Red Bull in the final day of this week's Abu Dhabi young driver test. Vergne was the only man to better 1m 40s as he improved significantly on his Wednesday best with a 1m 38.917s.
Mercedes' Sam Bird took over from Ferrari's Jules Bianchi as Vergne's closest rival, the Briton splitting the two Frenchmen with a lap of 1m 40.897s. Bianchi finished just over half a second down on Bird, just ahead of McLaren's Oliver Turvey

Young Italian F3 drivers sample Ferrari at Vallelunga |

| Jules Bianchi may be hard at work in Abu Dhabi for Ferrari but he hasn't been the only young driver in action for the team this week. Over in Italy, Sergio Campana and Michael Lewis both had the chance to drive a 2009-spec F60 at the Vallelunga circuit on Tuesday as a reward for their success in this season's Italian Formula Three championship.
Italian Campana won the series, whilst Canadian Lewis secured the best rookie title after clinching three wins and a further three podiums. Campana ended the day fastest, clocking a best time of 1m 20.600 after covering 43 laps. Lewis posted a best time of 1m 21.040s after his 45 laps.

Vergne's lap of 1m 40.188s in the RB7 was fractionally slower that his Tuesday best, but was still enough to put him a tenth clear of fellow Frenchman Jules Bianchi for Ferrari

| Jean-Eric Vergne led the times at Yas Marina on Tuesday for Red Bull, as this week's three-day young driver test got underway at the Abu Dhabi circuit. Vergne, who finished second in this year's Formula Renault 3.5 series, clocked a best time of 1m 40.011s in the RB7 to finish over ninth tenths of a second ahead of Jules Bianchi in the Ferrari.
Reigning Formula Renault 3.5 champion Robert Wickens was third for Renault, ahead of Swiss driver Fabio Leimer, who made his Formula One debut for Sauber. Fifth fastest was McLaren tester Gary Paffett, whilst 20 year-old British GP2 driver Max Chilton was sixth for Force India.

Perez samples Ferrari as several teams take to test track |

| Sauber's Sergio Perez, who is also a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy (FDA), has tested the Italian team's 2009 car for the first time. Perez was in action alongside fellow FDA recruit Jules Bianchi on Thursday at Fiorano.
After a two-day stint on the simulator, the Mexican climbed behind the wheel of the F60 to complete 46 laps. His best time was 1m 00.650s.

We will be back on track in September, at Mugello or Fiorano, Luca Baldisserri, director of the FDA, explained in an interview with Ferrari's official website. It will be a very interesting test, because we will be putting Bianchi and Perez up against one another. I think they will both be very motivated and for us it will be the perfect opportunity to assess both drivers.
