Nick Heidfeld Q&A: Much more to come from Renault |
2011-05-06 03:56:00 |
| Nick Heidfeld is the true 'comeback kid' of the Formula One paddock. In and out of drives since his time with BMW Sauber, 'Quick Nick' stormed the podium in Malaysia and still has an appetite for more - not only race wins, but also the championship. The German may have arrived at Renault as stand-in for the recovering Robert Kubica, but must now surely be considering a longer future with the team. He spoke exclusively to Formula1.com

Vettel to stay at Red Bull until 2014 |
2011-03-14 21:15:00 |
| Red Bull have announced on Monday that Sebastian Vettel will continue to drive for the team until the end of the 2014 season. Last year, at just 23 years-old, Vettel became the sport's youngest-ever world champion after scoring 10 pole positions, five victories and 256 points in the team's RB6.
The German has been supported by Red Bull since 1998 and is a graduate of the Red Bull Junior Team. After spells in Formula Three and Formula BMW, Vettel made his Formula One debut in 2007, standing in for an injured Robert Kubica at BMW Sauber, before securing a full-time Toro Rosso race seat later that season.

Exclusive Nick Heidfeld Q&A - An opportunity too good to miss |
2011-02-23 17:58:00 |
| His nickname may be 'quick Nick', but increasingly 'the comeback kid' seems just as appropriate - from taking over Pedro de la Rosa's BMW Sauber cockpit last season, to securing the 2011 Renault seat left vacant by the injured Robert Kubica.
And with the R31's aggressive design setting tongues wagging up and down the pit lane, could the German have finally found himself in the right place at the right time?

Race - Button and McLaren spring Shanghai surprise |
2010-04-18 18:51:00 |
| Jenson Button won a nail-biting Chinese Grand Prix for McLaren on Sunday afternoon, with team mate Lewis Hamilton chasing him home second after a race of many parts.
It began with light rain, a jump start by Fernando Alonso's Ferrari and an incident in the first corner when Vitantonio Liuzzi spun his Force India into Kamui Kobayashi's BMW Sauber and Sebastien Buemi's Toro Rosso, bringing out the safety car...

FIA Friday press conference - China |
2010-04-16 21:20:00 |
| Team principals: Eric Boullier (Renault), Colin Kolles (HRT), Adam Parr (Williams), Peter Sauber (BMW Sauber)
Q: Colin, tell us about your driver pairing, completely inexperienced when it comes to this race here in Shanghai?
Colin Kolles: Well, we are a new team, new cars and rookie drivers, so it's not easy, for sure, but I think they've done quite a good job in the first three races, not making too many mistakes. Today also went quite well, at a different level to the top teams, of course, but I think that we are improving steadily, so we are making step after step.

2010-04-14 17:52:00 |
| While their F10 is certainly a frontrunner, it's no secret that Ferrari have been plagued by engine troubles since the start of the season.
In Bahrain the Italian team changed the V8s on the cars of Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa after finding slight reading abnormalities, while at the recent Malaysia race Alonso - and both Ferrari-powered BMW Saubers - were forced to retire after engine failures...

Exclusive Q&A with Peter Sauber |
2010-04-08 18:02:00 |
| With two double DNFs and just one recorded finish, courtesy of Pedro de la Rosa in Australia, it hasn't been the start to the season that returning team principal Peter Sauber hoped for.
But if you consider that it took Williams years to recover from the withdrawal of BMW, three disappointing races could be just a drop in the ocean for BMW Sauber. However, with the drivers slowly settling in and new technical director James Key joining from the boosted Force India team, Sauber is hoping for some strong results soon

FIA Thursday press conference - Malaysia |
2010-04-01 18:57:00 |
| Drivers: Rubens Barrichello (Williams), Karun Chandhok (HRT), Kamui Kobayashi (BMW Sauber) and Nico Rosberg (Mercedes).
Q: Karun, obviously a very steep learning curve for you this year. Tell us about it.
Karun Chandhok: It is not ideal. I don't think anyone in F1 has gone straight into qualifying without testing or a single lap of free practice. Bahrain was far from ideal. It is going to be very tough. With the car we didn't do any winter testing. We are two months behind the programme, but we will keep chipping away and see where we end up. Melbourne was a step forward. We got one

Q&A with Renault's Robert Kubica: We are ready |
2010-03-12 02:24:00 |
| Back in 2006, Robert Kubica was BMW Sauber's promising rookie. Fast forward four seasons, and Kubica is at a different team. Whilst Renault may still be struggling to regain the footing that brought them - and then driver Fernando Alonso - two consecutive world titles, the Pole is hopeful everyone's hard work will gradually pay off
